transaction
The British Young's Seafood owner, the Eight Fifty Food Group, announced on Friday 16.10.2020 the acquisition of all shares in the Greenland Seafood Group (parent company "AliSa International" with headquarters in Hamburg). This marked the end of a sales process carried out by PM Square in a highly
competitive market, in which various bidders showed interest in acquiring the European quality leader of frozen fish products (especially fish sticks) in the private label sector. With an annual turnover of more than EUR 400 million, Greenland Seafood employs approximately 600 people at two production sites in Wilhelmshaven (Germany) and Boulogne-sur-Mer (France) and two distribution sites in Bremen (Germany) and Paris (France). The closing of the transaction is subject to merger control clearance.
